AEC’s Management
Greg Jewell, president and founder of AEC Management Resources, Inc., brings over 25 years of management experience to the firm. He has served in management positions since the beginning of his career, honing his skills in running successful, vital organizations. Early in his career, he spent 13 years in high-level association management, responsible for such groups as the Society for Foodservice Management, International Inflight Food Service Association, the National Association of Catering Executives and the American Correctional Food Service Association.

He understands the issues that face professional organizations:

  • Yearly change in volunteer leadership and the challenges it provides to management
  • Budget constraints of not-for-profit organizations
  • Challenges involved with recruiting and working with an ever-decreasing supply of volunteer members
  • Challenges of clearly defining a market position
  • The integration of rapidly changing technology into the organization’s structure

Greg brings to the table a penchant for grasping the big picture, setting goals and accomplishing them. He has envisioned a number of very successful programs and services for the various associations he has managed, including a market repositioning of a 1,200-member organization, the launch of new and innovative member services/benefits, the launch of an industry magazine and very successful, creative and increasingly profitable national conferences. Greg has surrounded himself with some of the best association management and meeting planning professionals in the industry today. His team stands ready to exceed your expectations.

Nick Vaccaro, AEC’s vice president, has spent his entire career in management positions. Through his more than 15 years of management experience, Nick has served in management positions with the Research Chefs Association, the International Inflight Food Service Association, Foodservice Consultants Society International, the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Asked to describe his most important leadership quality, Nick said he is all about building the right team. “You surround yourself with the best people who bring more and different skills/abilities to the table. Then, serving as the coach, you can bring about a greater degree of overall success than could be brought by any one member of the team.”
